Global Demand For Alternative Energy Sources: Current Status and Future Prospects

Numerous variables (population expansion and high global economic development rates) contribute to future estimates of a considerable increase in fossil energy usage rates over the coming decades. While there has been a global movement toward diversifying energy supplies, this diversification continues to account for a very tiny share of global energy output. In light of this, three long-term scenarios have been developed to examine the sector's future possibilities and prospects within the global energy environment. The study's objective is to ascertain the future of present energy and the extent to which it can be sustained in the face of several factors (renewable energy), which have become a means of exerting pressure on the importance and function of exhausting energy sources (fossil energy). The findings show that depleted energy sources will continue to dominate global energy market production and consumption in the following years, while renewable energy sources will serve as a complementing energy source in the short term and as an alternative in the long run
