Abstract

Water plays a significant role in all spheres of life, whether economic, political, or social. It demonstrates the importance of water in Iraq through its applications in all spheres of life, mainly agricultural and industrial. The research aims to examine the concept of available water resources and the causes and effects of the Iraqi water crisis. The study discusses the effects of water security on all sectors and services. With the necessary solutions to this crisis, considering Iraq's large oil reserves and associated natural gas production, as well as the low Iraqi per capita income that is insufficient to meet its water requirements, and the impact of this effective in resolving the problem of water shortage flowing into Iraq, as it suffers from severe water poverty in comparison to the rest of the world, One of the more traditional forms of energy
